Valentine's Day Chex Mix Recipe

Ingredients:
6 cups of Rice Chex cereal
1 bag of white chocolate baking chips (12 oz)
1 box of banana cream Jell-O Pudding, or any flavor of choice.
Decorations of any kind such as conversations hearts, sprinkles, food coloring etc.
Optional: Shortening

Side Note: Make sure to use pudding and not pure Jell-O! The gelatine does not have the same effect.

Measure 6 cups of Chex cereal, and place into a large bowl.

Empty entire package of white chocolate chips into a microwave safe dish.

Optional: Add 1 or 2 tsp of shortening to the white chocolate chips. This will help the consistency become smoother, thinner and easier to work with.

Place white chocolate chips in the microwave for 1 minute. Remove and stir gently. Return to the microwave and melt for an additional 30 seconds. Continue this process until all the chips are melted completely.

Add 4 tablespoons of pudding into the melted white chocolate. Stir gently until smooth.

Optional: Add food coloring of your choice! (You can make this for any occasions. Green for Saint Patrick's day, Black and Orange for Halloween etc.)

Pour the chocolate mixture over cereal and gently stir until the cereal is coated in chocolate.

Add decorations of your choice! We used conversation hearts and colorful sprinkles!

Grab a cookie sheet and place a piece of parchment paper on it. (Or a silicone mat) Pour Chex mix, and allow to solidify.

Place in air tight containers, and enjoy!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!
