First Bike "Ride"

Tyson and I were bored this afternoon, so I asked him if he wanted to try out his new bike. (He has never been on a "big boy bike" before.) I was very surprised that he was willing to give it a shot. His motor skills are still a little behind, and he has difficulty accomplishing certain tasks. (Such as getting dressed, putting together small puzzles etc.) He was able to get on and off the bike without help, and place both feet on the pedals. I guided the bike as he sat on it, and he loved it.

I didn't want to push him too far today. He agreed he'll try it out again.

My goal is to have him riding his bike (with training wheels) by summer. I know he can do it!

  1. He has the prettiest eyes! My oldest refuses to want to learn to ride a bike, so I have given up :) Great photos!

    1. Thank you Zoe :) It's been snowing here, so hopefully I can get Tyson back on his bike soon.(I can't believe it's snowing in March... Got to love living in Canada haha!) I hope your boy wants to get back on his bike soon. :) I remember how scary bike riding was as a child. But once I got the hang of it, that's all i wanted to do. :)

  7. He is such a handsome little fellow. These little milestones are so precious. Boys are so independent, before you know it he will be riding on his own. Mine went from a 3 wheeler to doing crazy things on a skate board that really scares me...... Lol, enjoy this stage, sometimes I wish I could have those years back.
